Knife Sharpening

I have a very unique way of sharpening knives which I think sets me apart from the competition.  There are two ways to sharpen a knife: one is to create a high polished edge which is great for cutting paper, hair, tape, or any other minimal cutting tasks.  The second way is to create a toothier edge which is like micro serrations.  This cutting edge is great for Para cord, rope, tip tires, rubber, etc.
After sharpening close to 1000 knives, I’ve come to the conclusion that the ultimate cutting edge is a combination of the two.  In other words, “polished micro serrations” – a polished toothy edge.  This will allow you to easily cut all of the above items mentioned, as well as just about anything else beyond reason.
Our sharpening service is very simple and straight forward for each knife regardless of size or width.  If you happen to be local, I welcome you to bring your knives by to be sharpened.  If not, they can also be carefully shipped to me.  Turnaround time should be only a few days, depending on the quantities of knives to be sharpened.
We also offer knife modification or reprofiling.  For example, if the tip of your knife broke off, we will be able to repair that by grinding the tip back to a sharp point.  If a part of the cutting edge was chipped, we can also regrind the bevels and make the knife usable again.  The price for this service will vary depending on the job.

You Design It, We Make It!

This is a new service we are offering here at Brous Blades.  The majority of knife makers in the industry refuse to make knife designs that are not their own but we are up for the challenge. Now you can get your own design made by us, whether it is a one-off prototype or a small production run, We can do it.
